Measure the whole space.

Compare overall width, depth and height with your room and access route. Look separately at seat height, seat width and seat depth. Leave space for the full rocking motion and keep the moving base clear of walls and nearby furniture. Follow the manufacturer's clearance instructions.

Choose your material.

Upholstery brings texture and a softer feel. Wood highlights the frame and grain. Outdoor materials still need care: check the model's instructions before leaving a chair or its cushions exposed to weather.

Check the practical details.

• Use the supplied care instructions; do not assume covers are washable or removable.
• Check delivery access, the package dimensions and the service offered at your address.
